![]() My plan is to keep driving, although I noticed the new Rav4 Hybrid will have Carplay which I really think should have been an option sooner. I've noticed others having some interesting issues on this forum, but I have not had any at all really. I've had some bad luck with other car brands and so for me going this long without any major issues is amazing. Overall I cannot be happier with the Rav4 Hybrid. To me this is a programming issue with the computer for a rare phenomenon while driving. I would say it happens around every 20,000 miles but nothing is wrong with the car. There is a thread here on vibrations/tremors while driving downhill after an initial climb uphill. It was replaced even though I was not having any issues. There was a recall on the CPU for the tailgate a few weeks after we bought the Rav4. I use the lights everyday for a few hours as DRL's in the morning and everything on at night to see better, especially with crazy Pennsylvania deer crossing or running on the roads at night. They have been on for 2 years and still working great. I changed the headlights and fog/driving lights to LED. they are still in great shape I took them off to have a look twice and I am still amazed there is so much pad left. ![]() I do not worry about snow especially and last winter I had no issues in the worst conditions. The tire tread is deep and the handling in bad weather is amazing. I switched to Michelin Defender T+H tires I really should have done it earlier as those tires were terrible in wet conditions. I started tracking mileage on Fuelly around 7000 miles after I bought the Rav4.Īt a little over 60,000 I switched out the OEM tires. Miles per gallon came down a bit to 34.3. I used to drive 65 to 70 mph, but traffic is a bit worse in my area and I find myself keeping up with traffic more when things free up and doing 70 to 75. I think for everyone it depends on your driving style. Mobile one advanced fuel economy and fram filters work great. I've done 11 oil changes so far, but after 70,000 miles I decided to change the intervals to 8000 miles instead of 10,000. In terms of maintenance, this has been the best car that I have owned.
